God’s Prevailing Will

Proverbs 19:21, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, BUT IT IS THE LORD’S PURPOSE THAT PREVAILS.”

Job 42:2, “I know that you can do all things; NO PLAN OF YOURS CAN BE THWARTED.”

Here we see that God’s ultimate purposes are always achieved, because He is sovereign. His plans cannot be thwarted. He will accomplish his purposes even through the evil acts that humans carry out.
When we trust in Jesus Christ, and become part of God’s forever family, we are saved forever. Your hope for eternal life is certain, regardless of the choices other people make, and regardless of the severity of the storms in your life. He will work out His purposes for you, and ultimately take you home to Heaven with Him.
“But, what happens when a Christian fall into sin?” First, a true Christian never gets away with anything.
If, and when, the children of God sin, and the Bible says we all sin, and if we refuse to repent, God brings discipline, and sometimes very severe discipline,  into their lives, to bring them to repentance.
In other words; the true child of God will either respond to God’s light, or to God’s heat.
God’s prevailing will is to grant full forgiveness, and a home in heaven to all who repent of their sins, and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
The Bible says that the plans of God, and His call are irrevocable, and it cannot be thwarted whether through the wickedness of men, or the evil schemes of the devil.
What am I saying? I’m saying God will work out His eternal purpose for His Children, regardless of the circumstances.
Ephesians 1:11, “Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, FOR HE CHOSE US IN ADVANCE, AND HE MAKES EVERYTHING WORK OUT ACCORDING TOHIS PLAN.”
Jesus Christ, the Son of God came down to earth, He was insulted, and falsely accused by the religious leaders, conspired against by Herod, and Pontius Pilate, and finally, he was murdered by the very people he had come to save. On the surface it looked as though Satan had won a great victory.  The Bible makes it clear that the enemies of Jesus Christ only did what God’s power, and God’s will had decided beforehand should happen.
Acts 4:28, “But everything they did was determined beforehand according to your will.”
His ultimate purpose always prevails.
