Encouraged During the Wait!

Waiting on the Lord is a regular occurrence in our faith journey. It's a posture that the Lord wants to develop in us - the ability to lean our entire selves on Him because He is faithful and He is good and He never fails us. Even though we know this, it still doesn't make the act of waiting any easier and a lot of that has to do with the fact that we want what we want, when we want it. We want God to answer as soon as we ask and God doesn't work like that. While He is faithful to come through for us, He also wants to build up our faith muscles and that comes through seasons of waiting.
Romans 10:17 says that 'Faith comes by hearing...' so during the season of waiting, speak the word of God. Remind yourself that you have an awesome, wonderful and good Father who will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6)

My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn[a] will be exalted. ~ Psalm 89:24
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. ~ Psalm 116:15
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. ~ Psalm 145:17
for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. ~ Proverbs 2:8
For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. ~ Psalm 33:4
