Somebody said that, "If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you’ll never enjoy the sunshine." How true!

The great preacher C.H. Spurgeon said, "Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength."

Proverbs 12:25, "Worry weighs a person down."

Jesus gives us a command in John 14:1, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me."

Philippians 4:6, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."

1 Peter 5:7, "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you." (NLT) This exhortation is actually "Casting all your anxiety upon him. The word casting means “to place upon,” “to throw upon,” to hand over to.” The word anxiety means “cares” or “concerns.” God is saying we SHOULD pray that grace may be given to relieve the burden by throwing it upon Him. In other words, take WHATEVER is troubling you to God in believing prayer and let Him handle it. The basis is: "Because he cares for you." The emphasis then is upon our GOOD God who loves and cares for us.
