I Could Sing of Your Love Forever!
There was a song that a band called Delirious released in the early 2000s called’ I Could Sing of Your Love Forever’ and it quickly became a classic worship song. I remember singing at my youth meetings, singing it on the way to youth retreats and singing it again during the youth retreats at Muskoka Woods. Even as a young teenager, that song was one that was able to focus my heart and my Spirit on the wonder of God’s love for me.
Over the mountains and the seas; Your river runs with love for me. And I will open up my heart and let the healer set me free.
I could sing of your love forever
It’s an overwhelming thing to consider, the everlasting love of God. It is a love that saves us and fills us and heals us and restores us. A love that has no beginning and has no end, it goes on forever. God’s love reached down and met you and I where we were in our sin and lifted us out. Thank you Jesus!
Have you taken time to just sit in the love of God? Our lives can be so busy, so filled with things and people and appointments that we barely have time to read His word much less just sit and soak in the love He so freely lavishes on us. He wants to fill you with His love today. I encourage you to take some time, get alone, put on your favourite worship song, or you can borrow ‘I Could Sing of Your Love Forever’ and allow the love of God to just wash over you.
