Psalm 147:3

He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.

Healer of the Broken

Our hearts can break for many different reasons. The loss of a loved one. A relationship  coming to an end. The betrayal of a friend. A lost opportunity. Rejection. The list goes on and on. Jesus said to his disciples that in this world you WILL have trouble (John 16:33). Not may or possibly, but with certainty it’s going to happen. Throughout our lives it’s it not abnormal to experience pain and brokenness. How do we process that? What do we do with that? We give it to Jesus! The Bible invites us to cast all of our cares on Him because He cares for us. Anything that has caused us to be wounded or factured, we can bring those parts to Jesus, because is is more than capable of healing and restoring us. And not only can He heal us, He wants to heal us. He wants to bandage us up and make us whole again. Our brokenness isn’t a space that He wants us to live in. He wants us to bring our hurt and our pain, our disappointment and our sorrow so that he can bandage us up for healing.
